Missing out?

I feel as though I'm missing out on EVERYTHING lately.  It's a completely crazy notion, but it's how I feel.

It's completely crazy, because I've kept myself so busy lately!  I love having things to do, and recently, it's been one thing after another.  :)

Yesterday, was my friend Darcy's birthday.   The day started out with a ballet rehearsal.  I normally want to slit my wrists after ballet, but the music is beautiful and I love sitting with Christine.  When we have a full week of ballet, in two weeks, it will be fun!  Susie came over for lunch, and randomly we had ham and cheese sandwiches, apples, and spicy tofu with chili sauce (separate, of course!) with a glass of wine.  Haha.  Weird menu choice, but it was what I had in the fridge.  Then we went on a tour of our new hall.  Y'all, this is the gonna be the BOMB.  We went with other board members, and met some really awesome new people.  Then, the birthday celebration began.

Jamie (sister-in-law), her kids and I hid out in Darcy's apartment, waiting with a cake to surprise her when she got home from work.  We successfully scared the living daylights out of her, and then took her out for pizza, where her brother and his wife were waiting.  A pepperoni and cheeseburger pizza, cake and a few beers later, we were happy.  We took Darcy back to her house and she and I went over to the Marriott, to meet Autumn, who was here on a business trip.  The three of us had drinks at the bar, and some key lime pie, and after awhile, random NASCAR guys were talking to us.  Autumn retired early, leaving Darcy and I to 'fend' for ourselves (lol!), and we all ended up playing pool and closing down the bar.  It was a lot of fun, and the guys were absolutely hysterically drunk.  Not that I would ever choose to spend a Thursday night with travelling repairmen who work for the racetrack from Michigan, playing pool, spilling Makers Mark, and closing a bar down, but I wouldn't have traded that night for anything.  Who AM I!?!? :) :)

I spent the day with Susie today...got up REALLY late, and left at 1pm (not too far after I woke up) to go shopping and such.  I got some more plant stands, some pillows for my bed and presents for birthdays.  Also, some headbands and 'stuff' at Forever XXI.  We went to Red Lobster (a tradition for us) and had a great day.  Came back right before I had to go to opera.   So fun.

I read what my friends are up to, and I know the dates of birthdays, milestones, etc...and I feel as though I'm missing out!!  I know no one cares, because it's not a real problem...lol...but nevertheless, I do get sad.  So, to all my loved ones that I'm not near...I think about you daily, and wish I were there.   XOXO
